THE DOWNSIZE STORY
Ron and Diane didn’t have a mortgage on their Terravita home, so downsizing really wasn’t about reducing their expenses or fixed costs. They wanted to free up some cash to enable them to travel more and do some other fun things. So we sold their 3,000 square foot Ventus model for a bit over $700,000. We then found them a gorgeous home, in a great area, less than 10 miles away. The home was was nine years newer and 140 square feet larger for just a tad over $400,000! That means in this process, we freed up over $300,000 and put them in a bigger home that they love.
